Anthony Lamont Diehl, 54, of Girard, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at his residence. Anthony was born January 28, 1967, in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Archie L. and Mable (Saunders) Diehl Sr. Anthony was a 1985 graduate of Girard High School. He then joined the Marines and was stationed in the 29 Palms, Okinawa, Japan, and Kuwait during the Gulf War. Anthony had worked for Syro Steel, US Marshall Service and presently the Trumbull County Sheriff's Department as a deputy for the past 23 years. He also owned and operated Diehl and Son Trucking Co., in Girard. Anthony loved working and when he wasn't working he enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing. He was a member of the F.O.P. Lodge and the O.P.B.A. He was awarded the Ohio Medal Of Honor, the state of Ohio's highest medal of honor. Besides his mother Mable, of NC., he leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Anthony Diehl Jr. (fiancé Skye McDanel) of Hubbard, and Shalimar Bryan (fiancé Charles Butera), of Boardman; his granddaughters, Khloe and Lylah; his fiancee, Stephanie Bock; sisters, Rochelle "Roachy" Dykes of Girard and Alicia (Eric) Anderson, of N.C.; brother, Archie Leander Diehl Jr., of Austintown; and many nieces and a nephew. Anthony is preceded in death by his father, Archie. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 27th at Packard Music Hall, in Warren, where visitation will be held from 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM followed by a service. Anthony will be laid to rest at Tod Homestead Cemetery with police and military honors.

Richard J. "Stretch" McGrath Jr., 57, of Liberty, passed away suddenly on January 23, 2016, at his home. Rich was born September 26, 1958, in Warren, Ohio, the son of Richard and Anna Krysko McGrath Sr. He was employed with the Trumbull County Sheriff's Office for 25 years, where he was a Deputy Sheriff. He took so much pride in his job. While with the sheriff's office, he was a School Resource Officer at TCTC. He was currently the President of FOP Lodge #137, a member of the Crime Clinic of Greater Youngstown and a former member of Youngstown Model Railroad Association. His true passions were woodworking, playing keyboards, his family and all of his pets. He will be greatly missed by his parents, of Warren; his wife, Leslie Faustino-McGrath of Liberty; his children, Ryan (Chris) McGrath, Amy (Dave) McGrath, Megan (Tori) McGrath, all of Warren, Jaryd Faustino of Girard and Casey Faustino-Carpenter, (Zac), of Norfolk, VA; his granddaughter Avalenna Faustino and his sister Pat (Dave) Batzdorf, of Candia NH, as well as numerous family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 29th, 11:00 AM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
